FAQ – CHNA Volunteering
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities: flyers distribution, tree planting, cleaning median and neighborhood clean up day, organizing CHNA events, etc.
How do I get started?
To get started, take a look at our volunteer form and register for an event that suits your interest and schedule. Once registered, we will automatically email you with details and directions.
Stay involved throughout the year as a member to see other opportunities available. If you are interested in being a board member, outreach or volunteer, use this form to contact our volunteer coordinator(s).
Are minors able to volunteer?
Volunteer opportunities are available for all ages with a few restrictions. Volunteers under the age of 18 not accompanied by their parent or guardian must provide a parental consent form at the event. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I (or children) receive community service credit for school?
Yes, we work with students throughout San Antonio to receive credit for volunteer hours. Bring the necessary school paperwork to the event and the event manager will sign off at the end.
